Monitor Net ready for strong Challenge finale

There is one more chapter of the 2019 MotorMart VW Challenge that lies ahead for Deon Holliday Jnr and the Monitor Net Volkswagen team at this coming weekend (November 8-9) where they’ll be aiming for a strong finish to the season.

Currently occupying third place on the Class B points table and with the drop round considered, it will take a near-impossible effort from Holliday Jnr to progress to second place. The outgoing Class B champion however finds himself on the back of some superb form during the last few rounds and will aim to keep this momentum going.

“Our season can basically be split into three parts” says Holliday Jnr. At the start of the year it was all about title defence. Then we had a torrid mid-season where we were plagued by drivetrain failures. Now we’re back and having some very good races.”

Knowing that the chances for taking second place in the class are merely mathematical, Holliday Jnr sets out his goals for the season finale. “In a certain sense I won’t be worrying about points that much. My aim will be to finish the championship portion of our season with a pair of solid result and I know we’ll be in a good position to do so.”

Friday will see the team participating in four practice sessions ahead of Saturday morning’s Qualifying session. Both races will be competed over ten laps; starting at 12:55 and 16:15.  Supporters of Deon Holliday Jnr are also invited to follow his progress throughout the weekend on the Facebook page:

Deon Holliday Jnr would like to thank his sponsors Monitor Net, Centpart Motorparts, Fastprinting & Signs, and Centworx for making his 2019 season possible.

In addition, he would also like to acknowledge and thank the associate sponsors of the MotorMart VW Challenge for making this exciting category possible: Norbrake Distribution, ATE Brakes, Dicktator Engine Management Systems, Yaskawa, and BPM Engineering.
