Zwartkops Raceway will see Monitor Net’s Deon Holliday Jnr continue his pursuit to retain his MotorMart VW Challenge Class B title. Round 2 of the championship will see him competing at his home circuit on March 8-9.
A home circuit is however not always an advantage as Holliday Jnr explains: “To date I’ve only recorded one race victory at Zwartkops Raceway; granted this was the one that mattered most to secure the title. We will certainly aim to improve our pace at the circuit to challenge for further victories.
The season opener saw him involved with two entertaining battles with Jacques Smith and Stiaan Kriel: “The level of competition in Class B is certainly fierce in 2019. Of course, this will require us to dig a bit deeper. We are certainly happy to do so as we know that this will see us emerging as a more competitive unit. Fortunately, we also have Kriel on board to assist with setup and preparation. We can really only grow from this point forward”
Round 2 of the MotorMart VW Challenge will form part of the first regional Extreme Festival for 2019. The roster for the day will contain a host of four- and two-wheeled categories to entertain the Gauteng crowd. Supporters of Deon Holliday Jnr are also invited to follow his progress throughout the weekend on the RacePics.co.za Facebook page: www.Facebook.com/RacePics.co.za.
