The MotorMart Klerksdorp driver remains the man to beat in Class B of the championship, but he still has his sights set on the overall title as well.
“The Zwartkops Race 1 retirement cost us a possible 11 points and we’ll be back to make up for this” said Kriel. “Of Course, what’s happening in Class A is beyond our control so we’ll focus on delivering our best. There are still five rounds remaining and taking 23 points from each of them will be our primary objective. We have to dominate at any given chance we have.”
Unlike the previous outing for the season at the circuit, this round will be contested around the clockwise orientation.
“Round 1 saw us starting the lap with the fast straights before heading into the host of left and right bends. This time around it will be different. We’re expecting close racing through the opening sequence so pole position will be instrumental to our strategy.”
The weekend will see a host of regional Extreme Festival categories competing with a final timetable becoming available closer to the time. Fans are invited to share in the day’s action from the grandstand overlooking the start/finish straight.
Stiaan Kriel would also like to invite his supporters to follow his Facebook page www.facebook.com/StiaanKrielRacing for updates throughout the weekend.
