The popular Bridgestone BMW Club Racing Series heads to the Red Star Raceway outside Delmas on Saturday 12 October for what promises to be another bumper day’s entertainment across a broad spectrum. Heading the Round 8 entry list will be Class B and overall championship leader Andreas Meier (The German BMW E36 STC Car) and he will once again lock horns with Jan Eversteyn (Bavaria 0.0% BMW E46 M3). After the furious dice in heat 2 at the last round at Zwartkops, the pair will no doubt relish a repeat performance, with the latter mindful of his 3rd place overall in the standings a scant 22 points behind Meier. Mike Grobler in his BMW E39 M5 will also be on the grid to keep them on their toes.

Class C leader Nek Makris (BMW E46 328i Turbo)

Class C is also expected to lay on a veritable feast of racing, with new class leader Nek Makris (BMW E46 328i Turbo) that will have to defend all his worth against Shane Grobler (Mayfair Gearbox BMW E36 330i) that missed the Zwartkops round. Keeping them on their toes will be Renier Smith (#TrainedProfessionals BMW E36 M3) and Neil Reynolds (Valve Hospital BMW E36 M3). After winning heat 2 at Zwartkops Pieter Lombard (SMS Alert BMW E36 M3) also has the bit between the teeth and is ready to take them on. William Einkamerer (BMW E92 335i) should also be present to add fire to proceedings.

Class D leader Alan Hilligen (C3 Shared Services BMW E36 328i)

In Class D, Alan Hilligen (C3 Shared Services BMW E36 328i) is second in the overall standings, the meat in the Meier and Eversteyn sandwich, and has a commanding lead in the Class D championship. However, Klippies Krige (BMW E36 M3) beat him at Zwartkops and would love to do so again. Rob Gearing (BMW E30 325is) and Eugene Gouws (Master Mowers BMW M3) should also have something to say on the day, as will Bernard de Gouveia (de Gouveia Accountants BMW E36 328I) and Varish Ganpath (Prodigy BMW E46 325ci).

Newcomer to the season Phillip Emmenis (Rotary Racing BMW E36 M3) is no newcomer to racing and is expected to slot into class C.
